ಆಲದ ಮನ

ಆಲದ ಮರದಂತೆ ತೊಳ್ತೆರೆದು ನಿಂತಿರುವೆ,
ಆಲಿಸುವ ಇನಿಯನಂತೆ ಮನತೆರೆದು ನಿಂತಿರುವೆ.
ಹಣ್ಣುಗಳು ಹೂವುಗಳು ದಿನದಿನವು ಚಿಗುರುತಿವೆ,
ಹಕ್ಕಿಗಳು ಬಳ್ಳಿಗಳು ಮನೆಕಟ್ಟಿ ಮಲಗುತಿವೆ.


ಮೋಹದ ಸಂತೆಗೆ ಮನಸೋತು ಕುಳಿತಿರುವೆ,
ರಾಗದ ಭೋಗದ ಹೊಸ ಬೇರು ನೆಟ್ಟಿರುವೆ.
ಮಾಯದ ಓಟವ ಒಲ್ಲೆನೆಂದು ನಿಂತಿದ್ದೆ,
ಮಾಯದ ಜಾಲದ ಬಂಧನವ ಸೃಷ್ಟಿಸಿದೆ

Banyan Mind
I stand with open arms like a banyan tree
I stand with an open mind like an attentive beloved
Fruits and Flowers are sprouting every day
Birds and Creepers are sleeping in their homes built on me

I am sitting down after loosing my mind to this enticing fair
New roots of Raaga and Bhoga have formed through me.
I had stood my ground after refusing to be a part of the illusionary race,
I have ended up creating a illusionary web of bondage myself.
